Development: 1. In Camera Editing

Alyx Entwistle

In camera editing is the editing method that is used to construct a sequence. The majority of edits are created using several programmes, such as Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro but it involves recording shots in exactly the same order as they would appear in the film, once edited. Also, shots need to be planned systematically and thoroughly. For these reasons the process of in camera editing can be a very long and mind-numbing experience. As it is all done using the camera, no editing equipment is required.
