Development: 8. Analogue

Analogue was the main editing technique before the birth of digital editing. The workprint (a copy of the film) would be handed to the editor who would then do his task by hand. A splicer was used in order for this to be done. The footage would be cut and pasted by the editor. The K.E.M or Moviola machine would then be used in order to complete the editing.
